Diesel Oil vs. Other Oils

Diesel oil is a unique oil amongst its peers, as it’s optimized for diesel engines. Diesel engines work at higher temperatures and pressures than standard combustion engines, which means that the oil needs to be able to tolerate those temperatures and pressures without burning up. Conventional oil, synthetic oil, and semi-synthetic oil are all wonderful options for standard combustion engines, but they can’t tolerate the conditions in a diesel engine, which is why we use diesel oil that’s specifically made for your engine.

How Diesel Oil Changes Work

A diesel oil change is very similar to a standard combustion engine’s oil change. It starts by exposing and opening the oil drain valve, which lets out all the old diesel oil into a receptacle for disposal. Once that’s all gone, our certified technicians replace the oil filter (or filters, depending on your vehicle) with a new OEM oil filter, and then close up the oil drain valve and cover it back up. The oil change ends with us adding up to six quarts of brand-new OEM diesel oil to your vehicle.
